Horn Youth Services Foundation (KULAN) is dedicated to build a successful growing community through partnerships, to create continuing solutions for our community challenges. Our programs are aligned with community development and capacity building principles. Kulan has worked to build capacity of individuals and communities in vital areas for successful integration of wider society, such as:
- Community –building events/activities
- Providing community space at KULAN
- Networking and volunteer development opportunities
- Support community gathering activities to foster unity in diversity
- Cultural celebratory annual events
- Support African community organizations and groups through capacity building and community engagement activities
- Integration into the workforce and entrepreneurship development
KULAN’s structure for community capacity building includes:
- community mobilization and development through community initiatives and other common areas of interest of individuals and communities
- capacity building through engagement, networking, volunteering, skills development and provision of responsive and outcome-based programs and supports
