Parenting Pathfinders is a consulting service that teaches parents and caregivers practical skills to help them parent their best to help their children’s future.
When these strengths are built upon, families are able to develop the tools they need to lead successful, happier, and more productive lives.
Parenting at any time can be challenging; parenting during COVID-19 can be even more stressful. Both you and your children may be feeling worried and overwhelmed. It can be hard to know how to talk to your child about COVID-19; how to best support your child as we all navigate disrupted routines and changes to home, school, and work life; and how to make sure you are taking care of yourself and your family during this difficult time.
Parental support is all about the well-being of children, young people and (future) parents. What is promoting this well-being, can of course be very different. One family may experience certain activities as supportive, another family may wish for other forms of educational support.
The program provides parent education, consultation, and support to improve parent-child interactions; strengthen parenting skills and knowledge, improve communication skills; and enhance problem-solving skills within the family. Parents may access individual and group positive parenting programs and creating parents supporting and helping each other.
KULAN also offers a series of free online educational workshops on fundamental skills for healthy family relationships to parents four times a year with the help of our volunteers and community leaders. The workshops are free, but registration is required please call us or email us.
